Seeds for the People
The City Centre Seed Library offers free seeds, gardening knowledge, and a welcoming community for everyone.
Since May 2025, we shared over 2,500 seed packs with our community. Thanks to all our volunteers and partners!

The Seed Library
The Seed Library is here to help everyone grow. We offer a collection of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds suited for local gardens, along with resources to get you started.
Everyone is welcome at the Seed Library—from first-time growers to seasoned gardeners. We offer small seed packs to help you try something new, and at the end of the season, we’ll teach you how to save seeds so the cycle continues for everyone.
By sharing seeds, stories, and skills, we aim to support food security, biodiversity, and community resilience—one seed at a time. Together, we’re growing a stronger, more connected community through sustainability and shared knowledge.

Our Values

Community Engagement & Education
The seed library is a welcoming place to learn, connect, and share. We provide resources on seed saving, gardening, and sustainable practices while celebrating the traditions and knowledge of local growers.

Food Security & Local Resilience
We enable locally grown food, helping our community become more food-secure. By encouraging self-reliant gardening and strengthening our ability to adapt to disruptions, we support a more resilient local food system.

Seed Sovereignty & Sustainability
We work to preserve heirloom and open-pollinated seeds to protect plant diversity. By teaching and encouraging seed saving and sharing, we help ensure these important varieties remain available for future generations.

Biodiversity & Seed Saving
